Dr Jinkun Zhang attended IEEE ICC 2026 in Glasgow, where he presented research across the main conference, workshop programme, and demo sessions.

At the main conference, Jinkun presented the paper Decentralized AI Service Placement, Selection and Routing in Mobile Networks , a collaborative work with Prof. Kin Leung and Prof. Stefan Vlaski from Imperial College London. The paper studies AI model placement, selection, and routing for efficient service delivery in mobile networks.

Jinkun also presented the CHEDDAR workshop paper Design Insights into Partition Placement and Routing for DNN Inference, jointly with Dr Poonam Yadav. The work explores DNN split inference and partition placement in heterogeneous multi-hop edge networks.

In addition, Jinkun helped present the CHEDDAR demo xApp Driven RAN Optimisation for a Mission Critical Teleoperated Robot in a Multi UE Environment, developed by Mohit, Anthony, and Poonam. The demo showcased a 5G xApp for criticality-aware resource allocation in a multi-UE environment.

These activities highlighted SYSTRON Lab and CHEDDAR research on adaptive edge intelligence, DNN deployment, and practical 5G experimentation.
